This Privacy Policy explains how N-Signal, developed by JCMEEK, collects and uses information across all supported platforms (iOS, Android, macOS).

N-Signal provides real-time sound measurement and spectrum analysis.
Advertising is included only on the iOS and Android versions.
The macOS version does NOT include ads and does not use any advertising SDK.

1. Information We Collect

N-Signal does not require user registration and does not collect personally identifiable information such as name, email, or account data.

Only the minimum technical information necessary to operate the app is collected.

1.1. Microphone Audio (On-Device Processing Only)

  • N-Signal uses the device microphone for sound level and frequency analysis.

  • Audio is processed locally on your device.

  • We never record, upload, or store any audio.

  • No sound data is transmitted to any server.

1.2. Advertising Data (iOS/Android Only)

The macOS version does not display ads and does not use AdMob.

For the iOS and Android versions, Google AdMob may collect or access:

  • Advertising ID (AAID/IDFA)

  • Approximate (non-precise) location

  • Device and app interaction data

  • IP address (fraud prevention)

All advertising-related data is handled under Google’s privacy policies.
N-Signal does not directly collect this information.

1.3. Device Information (All Platforms)

We may collect anonymized technical information such as:

  • Device model

  • Operating system version

  • App version

  • Crash logs or diagnostics (if enabled by the OS)

This data cannot identify individual users.

2. Platform-Specific Data Differences

To ensure clarity, the following outlines differences between platform versions:

iOS / Android

  • Includes Google AdMob banner advertisements

  • Advertising ID may be accessed by AdMob

  • Crash logs handled by Apple/Google developer services

macOS

  • No ads / No AdMob SDK

  • No advertising ID access

  • Only system-level crash logs may be collected by Apple

  • Entirely offline and operates without external SDKs

3. How We Use Information

Collected information is used only for:

  • Operating essential app features

  • Displaying ads on iOS/Android versions

  • Improving app performance

  • Error analysis (crash logs)

We do not:

  • Sell personal data

  • Track users across other apps or websites

  • Record or store microphone/audio data

4. Data Sharing

We share only non-personal technical data with:

  • Google AdMob (iOS/Android versions only)

  • Apple / Google developer services for crash logs

N-Signal does not share personal data because none is collected.

5. Data Storage & Retention

  • No personal data is stored on N-Signal servers.

  • AdMob may retain advertising-related data under Google policies (iOS/Android only).

  • Crash data stored by Apple/Google cannot identify users.

6. User Rights

Because N-Signal does not store personal data, there is no identifiable information to access or delete.

Users may:

  • Control microphone permission in device settings

  • Reset advertising ID (iOS/Android)

  • Opt out of personalized ads in Google/Apple settings

  • Stop using the app at any time

7. Children’s Privacy

N-Signal is not intended for children under age 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
